What is included in local SEO services?

Local SEO covers everything that decides whether your business appears when someone nearby searches for what you do. At Seorythm the service starts with a local audit: your Google Business Profile completeness and category choices, how your name, address, and phone number appear across the directories that matter, whether each location has a page on your site that a search engine can match to the profile, and what your review volume and recency look like against the businesses currently in the map pack. From there we optimise the profile (categories, services, attributes, photos, posts, and the Q&A), build or rewrite one page per location with real local detail rather than a swapped city name, correct and add citations on the directories that count in your category, set up a review request process your staff will actually follow, and track map-pack and organic rankings from the postcodes your customers search from. Reporting covers calls, direction requests, and form fills from each location, not a single ranking screenshot.

How the work is done

Profile first, because it moves fastest

The Google Business Profile is the one part of SEO where a correct edit can change results in days. Most profiles we audit have the wrong primary category, an incomplete services list, and a description written for the business rather than for the search. We fix those first, inside Google’s Business Profile guidelines, one change at a time so that any suspension can be traced to a single edit, then add photos, products, and the Q&A that competitors leave empty. Posts are scheduled at the pace you can sustain, not daily for a month and never again.

One real page per location

A location page exists to give Google a URL to match to the profile and to give a visitor a reason to choose that location. That means the people who work there, what the location does and does not offer, how to reach it, parking, hours, and proof from customers in that area. It does not mean the same 400 words with the city name swapped. Where a location cannot support that content, we build one service-area page instead and say so. Each page carries LocalBusiness structured data that matches the profile exactly.

Citations are a data problem, not a volume problem

Citation work is not about being listed in three hundred directories. It is about your name, address, and phone number being identical everywhere that feeds Google, and about removing the duplicates and old addresses that contradict it. We fix the data aggregators first, then the directories that carry weight in your category, then check quarterly, because a single wrong upstream source can quietly restore an address you moved out of two years ago.

Reviews at the pace of your business

Reviews are asked for as part of normal follow-up, from every customer, with a link that takes one tap. We write response templates in your voice and set up alerts so nothing sits unanswered. We do not write reviews, buy them, or filter who is asked, because all three are against Google’s guidelines and the third is the one businesses get caught for most often.

Seorythm works as a local SEO company for single and multi-location businesses anywhere Google Business Profile operates, for English-language sites; directory sets differ by country and the audit maps the ones that matter for yours. Local SEO runs inside the same SEO services method as everything else we do, and it leans on on-page SEO for the location pages and on link building for the local press and directory links that move competitive map packs. Start with the local audit, or see pricing.

What it costs

Inside the sprint or retainer, or a fixed local package for single locations

Single-location businesses are usually served by a fixed local package inside the retainer band; multi-location businesses run as a sprint sized by location count. The audit is the same fixed price as every other engagement.

What moves the number

  • Number of locations
  • Whether location pages exist or must be written
  • Citation clean-up volume (duplicates and wrong data cost more than missing listings)
  • How competitive the map pack is for your primary category
See pricing

Who this is not for

  • Businesses without a physical location or service area. Online-only companies need the on-page and link building services instead.
  • Anyone who wants us to buy or write reviews. We will not, and Google removes them.
  • Lead-generation sites with fake addresses or virtual offices used to rank in cities where nobody works. Google suspends these and we do not build them.
  • Businesses whose profile is currently suspended for guideline violations. We can advise on reinstatement, but it is a different engagement.

Risks and how we manage them

Risk How we manage it
Profile suspension after edits. We make category and name changes one at a time, keep the business name exactly as it appears on signage, and never add keywords to the name field, which is the most common suspension trigger.
Location pages read as templated duplicates. Each page is written from a short interview with the location's manager and includes details that only apply there. Pages that cannot clear that bar are consolidated into a single service-area page.
Reviews arrive in a burst and look bought. The request process is built into normal customer follow-up so reviews arrive at the natural pace of your business, and we never gate requests by sentiment.
Citations get overwritten by bad aggregator data. We fix the aggregators first and check the major directories quarterly, because a single wrong source can re-propagate an old address.

How long does local SEO take to work?

Google Business Profile changes usually show within one to three weeks: a corrected primary category or a completed services list can move a profile into the map pack for its core term quickly if the business is already nearby and reasonably reviewed. Citation corrections take four to eight weeks to propagate through the data aggregators and directories. New location pages behave like any new page, settling over two to four months. Reviews compound month by month, and in most categories review velocity over the last quarter matters more than the lifetime total, so a steady request process beats a one-off push. For a single-location business with an existing profile, expect visible movement in the first month and a stable position by month three. Multi-location businesses take longer because each location is its own competition, and we prioritise the locations with the most revenue at stake.

Questions buyers ask

Do you handle Google Business Profile only, or the website too?

Both, because they rank together. The profile needs a matching location page on the site, and the site needs the profile to appear in the map pack. Buying one without the other is the most common reason local SEO stalls.

We have several locations. Do we need a page for each?

Yes, if each has real staff and serves a distinct area. A location page with a swapped city name and nothing else is worse than no page, so where a location cannot support real content we consolidate.

Can you remove a fake competitor listing?

We can report listings that break Google's guidelines (keyword-stuffed names, fake addresses, duplicate profiles) and we do this as part of the monthly upkeep. Removal is Google's decision and typically takes days to weeks.

How much should I pay for local SEO?

For a single location, the local package sits inside our retainer band, $2,300 to $4,900 a month, with the $2,800 audit first. Multi-location businesses run as a sprint sized by location count. Anything under about $1,000 a month from a local SEO company usually buys automated citations and a monthly post, which is not the same work.

Do you offer white-label local SEO for agencies?

Yes. Reports can be delivered unbranded, and the Google Business Profile work is done with manager access under your client's account, never by taking ownership of the profile.

How is this different from your SEO services programme?

It is the same method (audit, roadmap, sprint, retainer) with the local layer added: the profile, citations, reviews, and location pages. Businesses that need both national and local visibility run them together.

Start with the audit.

Two weeks, fixed price, and a prioritised list you can act on with or without us. If SEO is not the right channel for you, the audit will say so.
